I’ve been trying out some tweaks or general tips in enhancing our Internet Speed at home, some do actually work but it has some risks included.

Better yet, i’m trying out some logical tweaks that may do the trick.

Here’s one that i tried, but i haven’t seen or noticed any changes yet, is it because i haven’t restarted our pc yet or it just don’t work (as far as i know, doing this tweak doesn’t necessarily need me to restart our PC).

But here’s what i did. Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk. ok?

  1. First is you need to be logged in to your pc as Administrator.
  2. click on your start button – run – type gpedit.msc | for Windows 7 just search for it then press enter.
  3. one Local Group Policy Editor is up – expand “local computer policy”
  4. then next is to expand – Administrative Templates
  5. then expand Network.
  6. double click on QoS Packet Scheduler – then double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth.
  7. Now it should pop up a different window for Limit Reservable Bandwidth – on setting tab choose the Enabled radio button.
  8. then change the Bandwidth limit % to 0 – default value is: 20.

After this try to do a speedtest, but i would suggest doing a reboot. i was just lazy enough since i wanted to write about it that’s why i didn’t restart our pc.

Try it out and tell me if it works or not.

Peace Out!

Update:

- Internet speed somehow changed, but still slow (I Don’t have a premium subscription, so bare with my speed lol).

Still trying to get an upgrade, heck with the ISP who’s not responding.. xD
